Peru.

Our family has the amazing opportunity to spend a week in Peru this July. My wife wrote a short support letter sharing our plans. Please take the time to view it here or read it below.

Dear Friends and Family,

Recently,  Parker and I (Darla) went on a date to our favorite Mexican restaurant. While he was ordering for the both of us in Spanish, I was reminded that God knows all. He knows our future before we do. If you don’t know, both Libby and Parker are fluent in Spanish because they are in a Spanish immersion program. Parker (after ordering dinner) said, “Spanish works really well.” All that to say, only God knew that they would have a chance to use their gift of a second language to serve Him at the ages of seven and nine!

This summer God has called our family to share God’s love with the children of Peru. While in Peru we will be working with a local church and missionaries from our local church in California, to lead a VBS for kids in the area. Todd and I love serving and have had many chances to do that both locally and globally, together and separate. Now we are going to teach our kids how to serve God by serving others. We are so excited for what is in store for this trip and how God will use our family. In total we will have seven adults and nine kids ages five to fourteen!

As we move forward would you please pray for the team as we travel, for the kids that will hear of God’s enormous love for them and for our family as we serve. God has graciously provided the funds our family needs for this trip through the church. If you would like to contribute financially to the team and our projects including providing clothing, hygiene products and Bible resources for the kids, you can make a check payable to: Coast Hills Community Church, 5 Pursuit, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656.  Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for your prayer and support.
